REGIONAL AUTISM FOOTBALL COORDINATOR

  

This is a highly visible role, and you will identify and work closely with football community clubs and other sports organisation's and groups to develop partnerships in which to deliver programmes and projects successfully, increase participation of young people to Team United services. A key emphasis is on football but other sport and physical activities may also present opportunities for development.

This role aims to improve the potential of young people (12 to 16 years) with Autism through the development of peer-led programmes, projects and learning experiences. Amplifying the voice of young autistic people using football as a motivator and coordinating the projects they are involved in.

During lockdown, over 70 kids from  Team United, talked to Steve Clarke about their Euro Dream Team 1990 to 2020.  The project has helped them to stay motivated and connected to the sport they love.
