Young people give their feedback in being involved in the TEAM LEADERS Project funded by The National Lottery, Young Start Fund
The project aims to provide a learning platform, for Neurodivergent people aged 16-24 . This includes weekly recreational football.
A new pilot project aimed at young people (8 to 10 years) with a range of Neurodiverse conditions who need more time to engage with and understand the rules and structures of football.
Weekly sessions will take place indoors and provide a slower pace to allow young people to adjust to new environments and team mate.

Pilot projects will run in Edinburgh, East Lothian and Fife starting in February 2024. A maximum number of 10 players at each session

Walking Football will provide young people with an environment that is within smaller groups,
Young people are encouraged to take part in our Player workbook project. Here, they get a chance to work as part of a team, choose small projects tat will connect them to their peer group and also learn new things.
The CONNECT section presents them with tasks that will connect them to their peer group
The FLOURISH section educates them on the importance of food and exercise
The DISCOVER section presents them with ways to work together with a team mate and discover things they have in common
